About the Event

Meet the Presenters:

Robyn Peel is the Community Economic Development Coordinator with Community Futures East Kootenay. She develops and maintains relationships with representatives of local, provincial and federal levels of government, community groups involved in development activities and non-profit organizations supporting community engagement and growth to help them achieve their Community & Economic Development goals.

Darren Brewer is the Business Development Officer with the City of Cranbrook. He also sits on the steering committee for the EDPN (Economic Development Practitioners Network) and the Kootenay Forest Sector Collaborative.

An instrumental leader in his community, he can create XLS Spreadsheets in his sleep but dreams of a world where data is visualized in meaningful ways.  However, his real passion is his son Ollie and he strives to make the Kootenays a better place for future generations.

Riley Wilcox is the Business Recovery Advisor for Cranbrook and Kimberley. In this role she is here to support businesses with access to funding, digital marketing resources and tax incentives.  She provides navigation of those supports and one to one service for those needing assistance completing and reviewing funding applications.  She also gathers information from our business community to help refine areas of interest to create learning opportunities in workshop, webinar and peer-to-peer environments.
